RISE (The Reno Initiative for Shelter & Equality) and Dine Project
RISE and Dine is a hands-on giving project that mirrors the true spirit of Reno. At least once every month, we lend a helping hand by cooking and serving hundreds of our community members who needs a warm and satisfying meal. The event happens at the Community Assistance Center (CAC)* between 5PM and 6PM. For more information on which weekend we are present on this project, please check our calendar page.
* The CAC is located at 335 Record Street, one block east of 4th Street and Evans (by 4th St. and Record St.).

Little Free Library Program
Join us in bringing books to people in the community by supporting the Little Free Library program. We are looking for support to reach our goal of spreading Little Free Libraries throughout our community. You can sponsor a library to be placed out in the community or have one at your place of business. This is a “take a book and give a book” philosophy; but we will be keeping the libraries full.
Sponsor a library today and help spread the joy of reading to our own community. You can sponsor a Little Free Library today for only $300, which includes the weather proof library loaded with books.
You can also bring your unwanted books from home (anywhere in reading scale from Children to Adult) to our next Rotary Meeting. These books will go to our Midtown Rotary’s Biggest Little Libraries! If you don’t have any at home but still want to support, please feel free to shop at Grassroots Bookstore (by REI) for some books, they are at affordable prices. For more information, check out and like the program’s Facebook page or contact Ty Kirkpatrick at (775) 530-9414.

Rotary at Work (RAW) – Holcomb and Center St. Median
Thank you to one of our Rotarians, Geoff, we were given the opportunity to plant some colorful flowers by the big R and the bus stop on the Holcomb and Center St. median. As Midtown Rotarians, we want to help make and keep our city inviting so we have taken the task of keeping this median clean and beautiful. About once every 2 months, we spend several hours on a weekend morning to pick up weeds and trash. You do not have to be a Rotarian to join us in our efforts to keep our city beautiful, feel free to contact us if you would like to join us and check out our calendar page for clean up days.
