Learn What Scientists Don't Want You to Know!
Our own Lauren Mazurowski, Super Environmental Engineer, can FINALLY unburden herself about her recent research into the use of UV-AOP technology to remove recalcitrant water pollutants from wastewater, therefore to encouraging indirect potable reuse. Our Vaughn Middle School Big Dig was this past weekend. Thank you to the Rotarians who came out to help - you crushed it! Huge thank you to AG Craig Wessner for his surgical excavation skills and Group West Construction for their trailer and expertise. Above are some before and after photos to commemorate our progress!
We are in talks to return to the Washoe Public House for President Cody's year and it's looking promising! We would love to achieve a working hybrid meeting model where people could attend in person and participate virtually - be gentle on us as we plan this out! Let us know your thoughts about how our future meetings should look!
Great news. RYLA is a GO for 2021 as scheduled!
It’s official as of today: We are definitely going to stage three RYLA sessions on June 13-18, June 20-25 and July 11-16. There may be some masking and social distancing requirements and we will update you as we get closer to the session dates. There will be no mandatory vaccinations required of student participants but we recommend vaccinations whenever possible. We’d like potential counselors to you to save the date on their calendars (please note counselors are at camp an additional day before the students arrive).
Did you seize the opportunity to take some quality Rotarian training at the Learning Leadership Assembly portion of RALLYE? Be sure to share with the class!
Givsum’s comprehensive management and engagement platform helps charitable organizations get more organized, productive, and efficient so they have more time and resources to pursue their worthwhile missions.

Then, on Saturday morning, May 8, we offer Leadership Learning Assembly, previously known as the Club Leadership Assembly. The day begins with great educational breakout sessions to assist club officers and committee chairs of the Class of 2021-2022 as it embarks onto another year’s new adventure! Register HERE for both events. LLA is free training, please do not miss, especially if you are an incoming Club Officer or Chair Midtown, let's set a high bar for low standards and really show RALLYE how to win the Sweats and Slippers Competition #lacedupfromthewaistup #rallye2021 Our 4/26 meeting will be a field trip to Silver City (south of Virginia City) for an official GHOST HUNT!!! NNVGH can only accommodate 10 live humans, so click here to sign up. There are rules and a specific parking area. Please be familiar with all this before you arrive.
Message from NNVGH: Our Mill site consists of the Machine Shop (blacksmith shop), The office, The Foundry, and The Mill itself, If the ghosts don't take your breath away the history will! We are so very excited to show off our Beautiful Donovan Mill!!!! Be aware there are no bathroom facilities at this time. The closest restrooms are in Virginia City but the drive from the Donovan to VC in the dark is especially chilling. We do have a liability form we ask you to sign and like to do a safety walk-through with the team before it gets too dark. PLEASE PLAN TO ARRIVE EARLY TO TAKE CARE OF THIS. Hunt starts at 6:30 pm at the Mill. You can park across the street or on the North or South as indicated by the X's on the picture. The address for the Mill is 900 S. Main Street, Silver City, Nevada. You can come up through Carson City or Geiger Grade |
